Bike and Barge along Moselle River

August 6 - 12, 2017

We took a week vacation from traveling in the van and went on  a Bike and Barge trip down the Moselle River. We traveled from Metz, France to Cochem, Germany. Our barge, the Iris, was a 24 passenger/12 room boat with 4 crew members and 2 guides. The daily bike rides along the river were split into 2 groups - the fast group (more miles) and the slow group (my group). The trip was fabulous. JoAn and Sarah, our friends from Snohomish, Washington, joined us. We had a really fun group of passengers. The crew was wonderful. The food was excellent. Our guides were great. We can't say enough about what a good time we had.
